Key Areas of Demand

We regularly recruit for a variety of specialised finance functions, including but not limited to:

• Financial Accounting & Reporting: CBMS processing, monthly/annual financial statements, asset management, and compliance.

• Management Accounting & Budgeting: Internal budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and costing.

• External Budgeting: Portfolio Budget Statements (PBS) and PAES preparation.

• Finance Officers: Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), credit card reconciliation, and payroll support.

• Strategic Leadership (EL1/EL2): Leading finance teams, advising senior executives, policy development, and financial governance.

What We Are Looking For

To be successful in these federal government environments, you will ideally possess:

• Experience: Prior experience working within an APS finance environment (highly desirable) or strong commercial equivalent experience.

• Technical Skills: Proficiency in major financial management systems (e.g., SAP, TechOne, TM1, or CBMS).

• Qualifications: A degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance. CA/CPA qualification (or working towards) is highly regarded for APS6 level and above.

• Attributes: Strong communication skills, analytical thinking, and the ability to work collaboratively in dynamic team environments.

• Eligibility: Australian Citizenship is mandatory for federal government security clearances. An active Baseline, NV1, or NV2 clearance is a significant advantage.
